RTLB Permanent full-time position - 1MU + 1 SDA

We invite innovative, inclusive and culturally responsive trained RTLB or experienced NZ fully registered kaiako who aspire to be an RTLB to join our dynamic and welcoming team in Canterbury. We value manaakitanga, kotahitanga, whanaungatanga and kaitiakitanga and we are looking for a collaborative, positive and exceptional kaiako or experienced RTLB to join our team to empower and support kaiako in our 59 schools. 

Successful applicants will have:

a commitment to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi

culturally responsive and affirming practices that support ākonga Māori, Pacific learners and English Language Learners

the ability to build effective professional relationships with a wide variety of different people and work alongside kaiako for the benefit of ākonga

strong interpersonal skills

high quality inclusive practices and believe in quality education for all, with understanding around Universal Design for Learning and neuro-inclusive practices advantageous

the ability to work flexibly, be creative and have a desire to learn new skills

leadership experience and expertise in working collaboratively

recent classroom experience with a proven ability to deliver core curriculum areas

demonstrate exceptional classroom and behaviour management and a genuine desire to improve outcomes for all ākonga

the ability to work across Years 0-10 and must have a full NZ teacher registration and current NZ practising certificate.

You need to have the prerequisite qualifications and a willingness to undertake the postgraduate RTLB study within 48 months of appointment.

A current full driver’s licence and own vehicle is required. Start date 26.01.26
