RTLB Permanent full-time positions - 1MU + 1 SDA (4 positions available)
We invite innovative, inclusive and culturally responsive trained RTLB or experienced NZ fully registered kaiako who aspire to be an RTLB to join our growing, dynamic and welcoming team in Canterbury. We value manaakitanga, kotahitanga, whanaungatanga and kaitiakitanga and we are looking for a collaborative, positive and exceptional kaiako or experienced RTLB to join our team to empower and support kaiako in our 60 schools. Due to the significant growth of our region, we are recruiting for 4 additional positions.
Successful applicants will have:
● a commitment to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi
● culturally responsive and affirming practices that support akonga Maori , Pacific learners and English Language Learners
● the ability to build effective professional relationships with a wide variety of different people and work alongside kaiako for the benefit of akonga
● strong interpersonal skills
● high quality inclusive practices and believe in quality education for all, with understanding around Universal Design for Learning and neuro-inclusive practices advantageous
● the ability to work flexibly, be creative and have a desire to learn new skills
● knowledge of tikanga Maori and ability to speak te reo Maori an advantage
● leadership experience and expertise in working collaboratively
● recent classroom experience with a proven ability to deliver high quality teaching in core curriculum areas
● demonstrate exceptional classroom and behaviour management and a genuine desire to improve outcomes for all akonga
● the ability to work across Years 2-10 and must have a full NZ teacher registration and current NZ practising certificate.
You need to have the prerequisite qualifications and a willingness to undertake the postgraduate RTLB study within 48 months of appointment.
A current full driver’s licence and own vehicle is required. Start date 28.01.27
