My educational background
I hold a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning in Primary Education and have had the privilege of working in various leadership roles throughout my career. I have served as Deputy Principal, Special Education Needs Coordinator (SenCo), and Director of Religious Studies. Additionally, I was an Across School Lead Teacher within the Uru Mānuka Kahui Ako, where I led initiatives in both curriculum development and Health & Well-being. Over the years, I have led both junior and senior teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive approach to teaching and learning. My diverse leadership experience and passion for supporting both students, whanau and staff continue to drive my commitment to education.
My educational passions and superpowers
My superpower in education lies in building positive relationships and fostering a nurturing environment. I am passionate about creating spaces where my team, students, and whanau feel valued, empowered, and set up for success. By cultivating trust and open communication, I ensure that everyone has the support and confidence to thrive, both individually and collectively.

My interests outside of work
My husband and I are proud parents of two adult children who have now flown the nest. In my free time, I love being outdoors with my two dogs, whether it’s going camping, boating, or fishing. I also enjoy the peace and creativity of spending time in the garden, as well as sewing, which allows me to express my creative side. Life outside of work is all about family, nature, and creativity!
